Partition wall built with lightweight concrete blocks (illustrative image)

TÜRKBETON

Redblok lightweight concrete block manufacturer

Lightweight concrete, engineered at scale.

Redblok is the lightweight concrete block we make for the non-loadbearing partition and infill walls of reinforced-concrete and steel buildings. It is made without an autoclave. We develop the mix ourselves and measure and record every batch. Our two factories and our precast group company BETTON PREFABRİK share the same industrial base.

01Corporate identity

The industrial company behind the product.

TÜRKBETON is an industrial company making Redblok lightweight concrete block for the partition and infill walls of reinforced-concrete and steel buildings. We design the mix, measure production and keep every batch on record.

The same group makes precast reinforced-concrete structural systems under the BETTON PREFABRİK brand. The two brands share the same two factories and the same engineering base; TÜRKBETON runs the Redblok side.

Company profile

02Industrial base

Two factories, one capacity plan.

Our Şanlıurfa Birecik factory is in production; our Erzurum OIZ factory is being installed. Both plants were planned with the same area programme and line capacity. The Redblok line is planned at 50,000 m³/year per factory.

03Logistics and delivery

Two factories close to the target regions.

Our factories are in Birecik (Southeast) and Erzurum (East). Our target market is Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia, Central Anatolia and the Black Sea. Today, deliveries leave from our Birecik factory, which is in production; once Erzurum starts production, the eastern provinces will be served from there. We plan tonnage and truck numbers by quantity, and we have supply and logistics plans for 45 provinces.

04Engineering and mix

A separate mix for each class.

We developed a separate mix for each density class; admixtures and ratios are proprietary. We measure fresh density on every mix and record the dry density and compressive strength of every batch. Cellular lightweight concrete lies outside the scope of TS EN 206, so performance is defined by the project specification and testing.

Density classes

Design targets from KB300 to KB1000.

As the class rises, strength increases and insulation decreases. The known weak point of non-autoclaved concrete is lower strength at the same density; we developed the mix around that point. Values are confirmed by trial mixes and laboratory testing.

Design targets from KB300 to KB1000.

KB10001,000 ± 50 kg/m³6.0 – 9.0 MPa0.26 – 0.32 W/mK

Design targets; we give project values in the test report. Normal concrete is about 2,400 kg/m³.

05Our products

Our main product: Redblok.

Our main product Redblok is a standard-size lightweight concrete block, used in non-loadbearing partition and infill walls. Detailed product sheets will be gathered on Redblok's own site. Precast structural elements are made by our group company BETTON PREFABRİK.

06Difference from AAC

Lightweight concrete block or AAC?

Both are cellular lightweight concretes and do the same wall job. The core difference is the process: Redblok is made without an autoclave. We do not make autoclaved aerated concrete.

09Group company

Precast concrete buildings: BETTON PREFABRİK

Precast columns, beams, hollowcore slabs and façade panels for industrial, warehouse, commercial and public buildings, together with site erection, are handled by our group company BETTON PREFABRİK. For projects that use lightweight concrete block, the structural frame can be planned from the same group and the same two factories.

10Frequently asked questions

Short answers on lightweight concrete block.

What is Redblok lightweight concrete block?
Redblok is the standard-size lightweight concrete block we make for non-loadbearing partitions and infill walls. It is cast in moulds, cured, cut and delivered on pallets. The block density band is a 500–800 kg/m³ design range, against about 2,400 kg/m³ for normal concrete.
Is foam concrete the same as Redblok?
Redblok is a lightweight concrete with closed air pores, made by the foam concrete (CLC) method. The difference is in production: a separate mix developed by TÜRKBETON for each density class, factory cutting and a record for every batch. We suggest comparing blocks on their test reports.
Is lightweight concrete block the same as AAC?
Both are cellular lightweight concretes and do the same wall job. AAC pores come from an aluminium reaction and it hardens in an autoclave. In Redblok the pores come from preformed foam and no autoclave is needed. TÜRKBETON does not make AAC.
What is the scale of TÜRKBETON as a company?
Under one group we bring lightweight concrete block (TÜRKBETON) and precast (BETTON PREFABRİK) production together. Our Şanlıurfa Birecik factory is in production and our Erzurum OIZ factory is being installed. Both plants are planned with the same area programme and a 50,000 m³/year Redblok line per factory.
What drives the price of lightweight concrete block?
Density class, block size, total quantity, distance from the factory and delivery, season and the scope of testing. You can request a quote with the wall area, thickness and location.
Do you also make precast building elements?
Precast columns, roof beams, hollowcore slabs and façade panels are made by our group company BETTON PREFABRİK. See bettonprefabrik.com for details and quotations.
